Anthony Nicolau i Parera ( Cat. Antoni Nicolau i Parera ; June 8, 1858 , Barcelona - February 26, 1933 , Barcelona ) - Spanish composer and conductor.

He studied in Barcelona with Joan Bautista Pujol (piano) and Gabriel Balart (composition), then in Paris , where he continued to live and work until 1886.

In 1900 , he was the first on the Iberian Peninsula to perform the full cycle of Beethoven's symphonies. He supervised the Barcelona Municipal School of Music. Author of symphonic, choral, vocal compositions, including verses by Jacint Verdager .
