Nikolai Nikolayevich Vasilyev ( March 8, 1958 ) - singer , performer of folk Gypsy songs and Russian romances, general producer of the Gypsy show "Tabor Returns". He is a representative of two gypsy artistic dynasties at once: Vasiliev and Demeter.

Biography
Nikolai Nikolayevich Vasilyev was born on March 8, 1958 in Moscow into a family of hereditary Gypsy artists.
Father - Nikolai Vasiliev (senior) - a representative of the dynasty of Russian choral Gypsies.
Mother - Lyubov Ivanovna Vasilyeva - Demeter , the singer, sang in a duet with Nikolai Vasilyev (senior), Gypsy folk songs and romances, a representative of the Roma musical genus Kaldaray - Demeterov.
Nikolay's parents sang a duet. As well as his father sang a duet with his brother - Alexei. Growing up in an atmosphere of music and gypsy songs, having received a musical education, Nikolai Vasiliev (junior) followed in the footsteps of his parents.
In 1973, Nikolai Vasilyev Sr. together with his brother Alexey founded a musical group in which his son - Nikolai (the youngest) was a soloist, and then a music director. Since 1974, Nikolai Vasiliev acts as a duet with his wife Olga.
From 1984 to 1998, the Vasilyev team constantly works in the hall of the Hammer Center (“World Trade Center”, “Continental”). He gets a new name - the show-theater “Gypsy tunes”. The collective actively tours the world, participates in international festivals, writes records, acts in film.
Nikolai Nikolayevich participated in the filming and dubbing of the films “ From the Life of Vacationers ”, “ Gypsy Aza ”, “ Cruel Romance ”, “ Black Eyes ”. and many others, where the gypsy song sounds. In an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets, Eldar Ryazanov called him “the Gypsy Pavarotti ” [1] .
In 2010, together with his elder brother Peter Demeter, he organized a new Gypsy show “Tabor Returns” consisting of 27 people of Gypsy artists, tours were planned in Siberia, but unfortunately because of the fires the concerts were canceled.
But Nikolai did not abandon the idea of reviving the Gypsy choir, and he again gathers a troupe which includes some of the best professional artists of Gypsy folk art.
In 2010, the Eldar cinema club hosted the first concert of the Tabor theater show, under the direction of Nikolai Vasilyev, which was shown on the cultural channel
after which the theater was invited to tour the Khabarovsk Territory, where the concerts were a great success! Since then, the performance of the theater show in the cinema club Eldar has become a good tradition - 2012 concert “This cruel gypsy romance”, 2014 concert “Gypsies of the citizens of the world” (screenwriter and director Nikolay Vasilyev)
