Creation History
The author of the original words Ladre (Ladré) - a former soldier who earned his living as a street singer. The music is a popular contradance called "Le Carillon national", which was written by the violinist Becourt (Bécourt), who worked in the theater of Beaujolais. Queen Marie Antoinette herself, as they say, often played this melody on her harpsichord . The motive soon became very popular among the French people. The song spread in the summer of 1790 in preparation for the holiday marking the Bastille anniversary [1] .
Melody is often used as a leitmotif . So, it can be heard in the exposition of the 6th symphony of Nikolay Myaskovsky . The idea of the song formed the basis of the opera of the same name by the British rock musician, composer and poet Roger Waters .
Lyrics
Original Text
Ah!
Ah! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira!
Les aristocrates à la lanterne,
Ah! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira!
Les aristocrates on les pendra!
Ah! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira!
Les aristocrates à la lanterne.
Ah! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira!
Les aristocrates on les pendra.
Si on n 'les pend pas
On les rompra
Si on n 'les rompt pas
On les brûlera.
Ah! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira,
Ah!
Ah! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira,
L'égalité partout régnera.
L'esclave autrichien le suivra,
Ah! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira,
Et leur infernale clique
Au diable s'envolera.
Ah! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira,
Les aristocrates à la lanterne;
Ah! ça ira, ça ira, ça ira,
Les aristocrates on les pendra;
Et quand on les aura tous pendus,
On leur fichera la pelle au c ...

It will go, it will go!
It will go, it will go!
Sings the people, sings the people
And all the rebels will carry,
The enemies are already defeated
The sons of the Fatherland are strong
It will go. It will go!
Boileau priests all predicted
The prophet was these donkeys,
Sing together we friends
Glorify the joy of being,
It will go, it will go!
It will go, it will go!
Holy Scriptures are strong
Our law is true,
He who was everything will become nothing
Who was nothing will become everything
Holy purpose united
Fanatics are in the power of darkness,
Forever shall be our union
Every Frenchman will join him,
It will go, it will go!
It will go, it will go!
In the tavern girl sings,
Happiness will come, happiness will come,
Happiness deserves the French people,
The aristocrat asks for mercy,
Priests are not happy with their benefits
We are justice strong
We are Lafayet’s sons,
People will come to dignity
It will go, it will go,
And from the elect he is waiting
What,
It will go, it will go!
When people are armed,
He is tempted in lies and truth,
He will find the road to happiness
It will go, it will go!
It will go, it will go!
Aristocrat grieve,
People don't care about him,
But our conscience is clear,
Meanwhile, our nation is strong
From small to large,
We are patriots for ages,
And for ourselves we shall stand,
And you are a Frenchman and a citizen.
Put a barrier to treason
Lafaete's cry "We are waiting for you"
After all, the enemies are not abandoned,
The Frenchman is glorified for centuries,
It will go, it will go!
Aristocrat rope will find.
It will go, it will go!
Aristocrats will hang the people
But do not hang, then tear,
Not burst so burned.
It will go, it will go!
It will go, it will go!
No nobles, no priests,
It will go, it will go!
Equality takeoff, equality takeoff,
The Austrian people will be free,
It will go, it will go!
To hell fail the enemy race,
To hell fail the enemy race,
It will go, it will go!
Aristocrat rope will find.
It will go, it will go,
Aristocrats will hang the people
And regardless of their gender,
In each of their ass, we will stake.
