Geography
Meteorite stands in the valley of the Marevka River, about 2 km to the right bank.
The distance to the district center Novopokrovka (via Novokreschenka ) is about 53 km.
The nearest city is Dalnerechensk , the distance to it is about 70 km (via Lukyanovka and Gogolevka of the Krasnoarmeysky district ).
To the east of the Meteorite there is a road to the administrative center of the rural settlement of the village of Izmailikh , a distance of about 10 km.
History
Until 1972, the village was called Beitsuhe . After an armed conflict over Damansky Island in Primorye , a massive renaming of Chinese names took place , the village was renamed Meteorite [4] .

Sikhote-Alin meteorite
On February 12, 1947, the Sikhote-Alin meteorite fell near the village, and the Sikhote-Alin meteorite crater field was formed.
