Career
Club
Known for performances in the clubs "Neftchi" Baku and "Alania" Vladikavkaz . As part of Alania, in 1995 became the champion of Russia . In 1996, in a “golden” match against Spartak Moscow, he made a decisive penalty on goal, not hitting the ball from the goal line. The then head coach of Alania V. G. Gazzaev never forgave the player for this, as a result of which Suleymanov had to leave the team. He completed his playing career in the Sochi "Pearl" , after which he took up coaching activities.
Coaching
In 2000-2001, he coached the “Pearls” double (in 2001, participating in the first league championship of the Krasnodar Territory). In 2002, he was the head coach of the Pearl in the Second Division of Russia . At the beginning of the 2004/2005 season he headed the Khazar-Lankaran . However, the team performed unevenly and after a series of failures in October 2004, was dismissed. In May 2007, he was appointed to the post of trainer-breeder of the national team of Azerbaijan [1] . From 2009 to 2011 - the head coach of Olympic-Shuvalan . In 2012, he was appointed coach of the Azerbaijani national team and head coach of the Azerbaijani military team.
On October 25, 2013 he was appointed head coach of PFC Neftchi.
On April 13, 2015, Nazim Suleymanov was appointed to the post of head coach of the Azerbaijani national team U-19 .
On April 15, 2015, the book was presented to the public, written for the anniversary - the 50th anniversary of Nazim Suleymanov, entitled "Unfinished match." The book was published with a total circulation of 6,000 pieces in the Azerbaijani and Russian languages.
