Biography
He graduated from the Leningrad Nakhimov Naval School (1971-1973), the Higher Naval Diving School named after the Lenin Komsomol ( 1973-1978 ), the Higher Special Officer Classes of the Navy (1985-1986), the Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N G. Kuznetsova with honors ( 1993-1995 ), Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces with a gold medal (1998-2000).
He served in the Northern Fleet as commanding group commander, missile warhead commander, assistant commander (1978-1985), senior assistant commander (1986-1992), submarine commander K-137 Leninets (1992-1993) , K- 18 ”(1993), deputy commander (1995-1996) and commander (1996-1998) of the 31st submarine division .
From 2000 to 2001 - deputy commander of the 7th operational squadron; from 2001 to 2002 - Chief of Staff of the 3rd Submarine Flotilla; from 2002 to 2005 - commander of the 12th submarine squadron. From 2005 to 2007 - Deputy Commander of the Northern Fleet.
After the appointment of Admiral V. S. Vysotsky, Commander of the Northern Fleet, as Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, he was appointed Acting Commander of the Northern Fleet ( September 12, 2007 ). Approved as commander of the Northern Fleet on November 19, 2007 .
Since March 30, 2011, the chief of staff is the first deputy commander of the troops of the Western Military District [1] .
October 29, 2012 dismissed from military service [2] .
From November 8, 2012 to May 17, 2016 - Head of the Naval Research Center of the Navy “Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N. G. Kuznetsov” [3] .
In December 2013, he was elected chairman of the International Association of Public Organizations of Navy Veterans and Submariners [4] .
Since May 2016 - Head of the Navy Shipbuilding and Arms Research Institute.
