Author of fantastic poems (“The Tercentenary of Cerydon”, “The Paradise of Birds”, etc.); best known as a literary historian of the 18th century and as a model publisher (with Elvin) [3] of the collected works of Pop , in the final volume of which he placed a biography of the poet ( 1889 ). In addition, he wrote a biography of Addison ( 1884 ), “The liberal movement in the English literature” ( 1885 ), etc.
