Hero of Socialist Labor (1957). Member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR 2-6 convocations. Member of the Central Committee of the CPSU in 1952-1956 and 1961-1963.

Biography

Born on August 25 (September 7), 1910, in the village of Gorlovka, Bakhmut district, Yekaterinoslav province, in a miner’s family.

In 1925-1927 he studied at an industrial school in Izum . In 1935 he graduated from the Donetsk Mining Institute .

  • In 1924-1925 - a student locksmith Lugansk wagon and steam locomotive plant.
  • In 1927-1930 - locksmith at the mine number 8 in Gorlovka , fitter at the mine named after OGPU in Novoshakhtinsk (Azov-Black Sea Territory).
  • Since 1935, chief mechanic, assistant chief engineer, chief engineer, head of mine No. 10 bis .
  • Since 1939, deputy chief of Glavugol, head of the Stalinugol plant.
  • In 1941-1942, he was the head of the Molotovugol plant.
  • In 1942-1943 - deputy commissar of the coal industry of the USSR - head of the Tulaugol plant.
  • In 1943-1946 - Deputy Commissar of the USSR Coal Industry - Head of the Stalinugol Combine.
  • In 1946-1947 - Deputy Minister of Construction of the Fuel Enterprises of the USSR.
  • On January 17, 1947, he was the Minister of Coal Industry of the western regions of the USSR.
  • Since December 28, 1948, Minister of Coal Industry of the USSR. According to Serov , in 1951 Zasyadko insisted on replenishing the coal industry with additional prisoners [1] .
  • Since March 2, 1955, Deputy Minister of Coal Industry of the USSR.
  • From August 8, 1955 to 1956 - Minister of Coal Industry of the Ukrainian SSR
  • From May 24, 1957 to March 31, 1958, the head of the coal industry department of the State Planning Committee of the USSR Council of Ministers was the USSR Minister.
  • On March 31, 1958, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, simultaneously on April 22, 1960, chairman of the State Scientific and Economic Council of the Council of Ministers of the USSR .
  • On November 9, 1962 he retired for health reasons.

He died on September 5, 1963 in Moscow. According to the journalist Yevgeny Zhirnov , Zasyadko drank too much on the way to a date, fell asleep on a bench, caught a cold and died [2] .
