Biography
The representative of the third generation of the Polish artistic family, his ancestors came to Brazil in 1873. Father - a dancer and choreographer, performed in La Scala , mother - a pianist. From seven years he studied piano under the guidance of his mother, graduated from the music and art school in his native city, served as organist in the cathedral, acted as a pianist. In 1954 - 1957 he studied piano and composition in Sao Paulo . After participating in the Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 1960, he stayed in Poland for a year. Returning to São Paulo, he taught organ art at Curitiba Theological Seminary, as well as theory and composition in the school that he had previously graduated from. In 1966, his choral Psalm XXIII was performed at the second International Music Festival in Paran . In 1981, under the direction of Karel Husa, he defended his master's thesis at Cornell University and Ithaca College in New York .
He lived and taught in Goiânia .
Creativity
Author of more than 150 compositions, many of which are written for voice and choir. The most famous of them are Sonata 87 for violin and piano, Miss Breve in Brazilian rhythms , Poem of the Mountains for string orchestra, American triptych for mixed choir.
