Biography
Born in the Buguruslan district of the Orenburg province .
In 1853 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Construction College . After graduation, he was seconded to the department for the construction of the Petersburg-Warsaw Railway .
In 1857 he was transferred to the order of the builder of the new spire of the bell tower of the Peter and Paul Cathedral .
In 1858, his teaching began: on December 28, 1858, he was appointed a tutor at the St. Petersburg Construction School; since 1859 - teacher.
In 1870 he was promoted to the rank of engineer-architect.
He taught at the St. Petersburg Technological Institute : "supervised drawing (1864) and architectural design (1873)" [1] .
In 1877 he was approved as an extraordinary professor, and since 1878 - an ordinary professor of civil architecture.
In 1887 he received the rank of current state councilor .
He died on April 30 ( May 12 ), 1888 . He was buried at the Mitrofanievsky cemetery in St. Petersburg .
