Northern Tepoto ( fr. Tepoto Nord ) - an atoll in the archipelago of Tuamotu ( French Polynesia ). Located 16 km north-west of Napuka Island.

Geography
Northern Tepoto is an atoll with a dried lagoon . The island is 2.6 km long and 800 m wide. The total land area is 4 km². This is one of the smallest and most remote island of French Polynesia.
History
The island was discovered in 1765 by the English admiral John Byron , the grandfather of the poet Lord Byron .
Administrative division
Administratively part of the municipality of Napouka .
Population
In 2019, the population of Northern Tepot is approximately 40 people, of which 13 children under the age of 12 years. The main settlement is Tehekega village. The inhabitants of the island profess Catholicism and often attend Mass , held daily in the only church of the island.
