Geography
In the center of Tematanga is a deep lagoon , completely isolated from ocean waters.
History
The atoll was opened in 1792 by the Englishman William Bly during his second voyage after the rebellion on the Bounty ship. Bly called the atoll the island of Lagoon .
Administrative Division
Administratively part of the commune of Tureia .
Population
In 2007, the atoll was uninhabited.
