“When I think about what you write, I recall a line from one of your earliest poems:“ I don’t have words that are not about love. ” Accurate prediction. This is your main thing. "
Andrey Kurkov . Kiev.

“Your Ceser Vallejo is amazing. And your sad poems are good. But your letters call you to prose - the prose of the poet, who thinks by allegory, the path. You are probably right to refuse to knock at different doors. You will not notice how you will lose yourself; for you, to be yourself is not just the main “condition”, but the whole point. I believe: your time is still ahead. I count even to live to see him. ”
Mikhail Gefter , Moscow.

God willing, her poems will be read

“Thank you for your poems. They are good. I heard you feel bad. You are overwhelmed with passion, faith and impatience to do something and play with fire. I am afraid of any action, of any "business", all the more connected with passions. It is passions that most of all prevent us from hearing God. I would gladly give up some part of life if someone taught me how to help you ...
Try to be happy. ”
Boris Chichibabin . Kharkov.

"Olga Ilnitskaya
Peering behind the closet door,
Shout: "Oh my God!"
There is stolen in overalls old
It scares everyone - u-lu-lu!
………………………………………
. Mandelstam lies on the bunk
(Osip, I love you).
………………………………………
The roof over it is high and white.
On the whiskey crumbles chalk.
And on the sharp chin
Black hair has thinned.
- As is known, the revelations that amaze the reader in poetry and prose, perceived at first as an overlap, eventually become literary heritage.
In this poem, the artistic fearlessness of Olga Ilnitskaya is amazing. With our common love for Mandelstam and the spellboundness of his poetry, she managed to simply say in verse: “Osip, I love you.”
This is one of the few contemporary poems in which the actualization of the feminine principle opens to the reader a general cultural phenomenon - the power and ambiguity of the influence on the Russian poetry of the last half-century tortured by the poet's regime. ”

Dear Olya! There are poets whose bulkyness is a way to express flour, but you are not Byron, you are different. Your strength is in very short, simple, bitter words and feelings. You better grow a book in the soil autobiographical. Not on her, but in her. You are deeper and wiser than a manuscript, you have your own face in life ... " Yunna Moritz .
“Olga Ilnitskaya certainly has the gift of“ thickening life ”. This is probably a poetic gift. Her prose is transfigured poetry. Such transformations are necessary because other energies are connected. ” - Sergey Biryukov . Russian Thought , June 27, 2002

"
... Dear Olya, in my opinion, the story is very good ("Help Desk"), especially in the first half, where the language is cleaner, that is, with life madness ...
I believe that you have the gift of a wonderful prose writer, but avoid excessively parody monologues and dialogues in the spirit of the Odessa school, and come close to Plato's evangelism, without the excesses of southern satire. Your own speech is valuable and has tectonicity, the ability to budge in thick layers in different directions at the same time - this is what I think, especially to value, describing deep volumes.
Your work with the archive, with the speech of the document is a very strong stylistic source, it is more expensive than gold, do not back down, do not look for your “zhvanetskost“, you have something more, more serious, bitter and immutable. Do not give in to the fun of the literary moment with its "skitters" and parodies of pathos. Everything will rot topical, only the lyrics will remain.
I really believe in your talent, so I write as if “in general,” not only about this story, which I quite like without reservation, but about everything for future use and “for growth”, I am writing to you, based on personal experience.
The “humble cemetery” didn’t admire me, like many, I see in it the redundancy of speech manifestations, this is the “ Cement ” of Gladkov, heavily rewritten in the manner of the new wave. You are cleaner, more natural, and therefore more terrible. If the authority of the “Odessa taste” does not destroy you, be a marvelous prose writer!
All of you joy and success. " - Yunna Moritz , October 18, 1988
