The Krasnoyarsk diocese is the diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church , uniting the structures of the Russian Orthodox Church in the southern regions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory with the center in the city of Krasnoyarsk . Included in the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis .

Content
History
The Yenisei diocese was supposed to be established at the Moscow Cathedral in 1681, but the creation of the diocese did not happen then, and the territory belonged first to the dioceses of Tobolsk and Irkutsk , then to Irkutsk and finally to Tomsk [1]
It was established as the Yenisei and Krasnoyarsk with a chair in the provincial city of Krasnoyarsk on May 25, 1861 by separation from the Tomsk-Yenisei diocese [2] .
After a short post-war period of temporary bishopric administration, the parishes of the diocese became part of neighboring dioceses; for the most part they were united in the Krasnoyarsk deanery as part of the Novosibirsk diocese .
It was again formed by the definition of the Local Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 1990 by separation from the Novosibirsk diocese . Temporarily until May 1993, parishes of the Kemerovo Region were part of the diocese
By the decision of the Holy Synod on May 30, 2011 within the Yenisei, Kazachinsky, Motyginsky, Pirovsky, Severo-Yeniseisky, Taimyr (Dolgano-Nenetsky), Turukhansky and Evenki districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as the Yenisei, Lesosibirsk and Norilsk urban districts, the Yenisei Arch ] .
On October 6, 2011, the Krasnoyarsk and Yenisei dioceses were included in the newly formed Krasnoyarsk Metropolis [4] .
On December 28, 2011, Kansk was separated from the Krasnoyarsk diocese with its inclusion in the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis .
On December 28, 2018, Minusinsk was allocated from the Krasnoyarsk diocese with its inclusion in the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis . [five]
