Halloween 2007

Michael Myers , 10, lives in Hadonfield, Illinois, and has a dysfunctional family: his mother, Debra, works as a dancer in a strip club, his older sister Judith is completely dissolved, and his stepfather Ronnie White is an alcoholic disabled person. Still in the family there is a month-old younger sister of Michael Angela ^[1] . On the eve of Halloween, Michael gets into a hassle at school with school bullies, causing the principal to call Debra and his friend, a child psychiatrist, Samuel Loomis . They show Debra's shocked corpse of a cat, which was found in his backpack, and photographs of tortured animals. Loomis tells Debre that her son’s mental situation is clearly disturbed due to an unhealthy situation in the family (he often likes to wear a clown mask at home, because she says he “hides his ugliness”) and she should be prepared for the fact that in the future, Michael may move from killing animals to more drastic measures. Meanwhile, Michael, having stolen one of the hooligans outside the school, beat him to death with a hefty bitch. That same evening, when Debra leaves for work, Michael, putting on his mask, first cuts Ronnie's throat, then beats Judith Steve with his bat-boy, and then she stabs Judith herself with a knife. After comes to the room to Angela and wishes her a merry Halloween.

11 months later, at the end of the trial, Michael was convicted of first-degree murder and sent to a psychiatric hospital in Smiths Grove for treatment, and Loomis was appointed as the attending physician. In the sessions, Michael says he doesn’t remember how he killed. On the advice of one of the orderlies, Michael decides to create his own world around him, which is expressed in the many carnival masks he made, which he then begins to put on for sessions with Loomis. Six months pass, and Loomis and Debra with horror notice that Michael begins to hide behind these masks, because he begins to wear them without taking off, and the more terrible the mask, the more he closes himself in every day, and his speech is cut off. Ultimately, Michael kills one of the nurses, and Debra is horrified that her son will never be the same again. Blaming himself for growing up in a difficult environment, and not wanting to put such a burden on Angela, Debra committed suicide that very evening.

After 15 years, the day before Halloween, Loomis retires and they decide to transfer Michael to another hospital. During this time, Michael has grown physically, but still mute. On the very evening of the move, Michael escapes from the clinic, showing unexpectedly incredible strength and killing all his escorts. The next day, he returns to Hadonfield, killing a trucker along the way and taking his jumpsuit. His house is boarded up and abandoned (becoming the local "House of Horrors"), but in his cache Michael finds the mask of his boyfriend Judith, which he put on before killing the latter. Meanwhile, the daughter of a local realtor, Lori Strode, throws documents into the house, as the house is for sale. Not noticing this, she attracts the attention of Michael, and he begins to follow her. Lori sometimes notices him, but does not draw attention, as she takes him as a mum, and all her thoughts are busy with how she and her friends, Annie Brackett and Linda Van Der Klok, will meet Halloween. Linda and her boyfriend Bob want to spend the night in the Myers house, Annie and her boyfriend Paul want to spend the night in the Wallace house, whose daughter, Lindsey, she should look after, and Laurie, who has no boyfriend and looks after Tommy Doyle in one of Wallace's neighboring homes agree to keep an eye on Lindsay. Upon learning of Michael's escape, Loomis rushes to Hadonfield and meets with Sheriff Lee Brackett, Annie's father. Loomis is sure that Michael, returning to Hadonfield, will want to track down Angela. Then Brackett tells him that on the night of Debra’s death, he was the first to come to the Myers house and, having found a girl so that she didn’t know at all and had no connection with this family, anonymously threw Angela into the waiting room of the hospital in the neighboring city, and removed from all the documents all information about her. A week later, he found out that Mason and Cynthia Stroud adopted Angela, calling her Laurie.

When evening comes, Michael deals with Linda and Bob (when they climbed into his house), then goes to the Stroud's house and kills Mason and Cynthia, but the last before his death he shows a photograph of Lori, but Cynthia understands nothing. Brekket and Loomis try to reach them, but it's too late. Then Michael arrives at the Wallace House, kills Paul and severely injures Annie. Lori, who arrived there, calls the rescue service, and Loomis and Brackett find out about her call. Then Michael attacks Laurie, and she hides in the Doyle house, but Michael climbs in there and, having killed the two policemen who arrived there, takes Laurie with him by force. Arriving later, Loomis, learning about this, realizes that Michael took her to an abandoned house. Lori wakes up in the basement of the Myers house next to Linda's corpse. Michael puts the knife aside and shows Laurie their joint children's photograph, which he kept all these years. In Lori, she causes only bewilderment. Seizing the moment, Laurie grabs a knife and slams it on Michael's shoulder. Having managed to get out of the basement, Lori encounters Loomis, who is trying to stop Michael, but he does not stop, and then Loomis shoots him several times. Michael falls, but after some time comes to life, stuns Loomis and begins to drive Laurie around the house. Having managed to take possession of Loomis' pistol, Laurie directs him to Michael, but he rushes at her, and the two of them fall out of the window of the second floor to the ground. Having regained consciousness on Michael's body, Lori grabs a gun and tries to finish it off, but misfires three times. Suddenly, Michael grabs her hand, but Laurie manages to shoot him in the head. She drops the gun and screams hysterically. Her image is gradually changing into frames alternating with the final credits from the Myers family newsreel with little Michael.

Rob Zombie took on the role of Debra Myers his wife Sheri Moon Zombie mainly because of her tall stature, as he considered that at least some viewers would be clear because of this why Michael grew so tall.

The role of Annie Brackett was played by Daniel Harris, who had previously played Jamie Lloyd in the 4th and 5th parts. The producers wanted to attract many actors who starred in the original franchise, but Rob Zombie opposed this, making an exception only for Harris. The actress herself at the time of filming was already 29 years old, although she played a teenager.
