"Mine" No. 10 Novovolynskaya " - a coal mine under construction is located 10 km from the city of Novovolynsk Lviv-Volyn coal basin .
The only mine in Ukraine is a new building, the construction of which is financed from the budget of Ukraine. The customer is the State Enterprise “Directorate for the Construction of Facilities” (Chervonograd, Lviv region)
History
The construction of the mine was started in 1989 [1] , completion was intensified in December 2007. At the beginning of 2013, construction reached 87% of the operational readiness level, but in the summer of that year, construction stopped due to a strike caused by half-year wage arrears for construction workers. It was planned to put the facility into operation in 2014, but this did not happen.
The design annual production capacity is 0.9 million tons of coal, reserves - 37.8 million tons of steam coal of the gas group [2] (characterized by an excess of ash, which makes it difficult to sell inside Ukraine), which ensures the mine’s operation for at least 30 years, while the mine the field has not been fully explored and the size of the reserves has the potential to increase.
