Jem Yilmaz was born on April 23, 1973 in Istanbul in the area of ​​Koczhamustafapasha. When Jem was in 4th grade, his family moved to another district of the city (Bahcelievler). Here, Jem graduates from an eight-year school, and then studies at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management.

He studied at the University of Bosphorus at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management , at the same time published cartoons for the Turkish humorous magazine Leman. In August 1995, Jem first performed as a comedian at the Leman Culture Center. He began his acting career by starring in the film “Everything Will Be Fine” (“Herşey Çok Güzel Olacak”).

6.5 years old Jem met with the famous Turkish actress and model Jansu Dere , in August 2011 the couple broke up. On March 10, 2012 he married Ahu Yata (Turkish model, actress, fashion editor and style consultant). On August 2, 2012, the couple had a son, Kemal. Ahu and Jam divorced in December 2013.
