Sir Tulaga Manuela ( born Tulaga Manuella , born August 26, 1936 ) is the fifth Governor General of Tuvalu from June 21, 1994 to June 26, 1998 . Prior to that, he was an accountant and then secretary of the Council of the Church of Christians in Tuvalu . Knighted in 1996 .
