A small migratory bird is a bird smaller than a sparrow , living in Africa and Southeast Asia in river valleys with steep banks. They feed on insects that are caught on the fly.
The color of the upper side of the body is brownish-gray, the lower side of the body is whitish, the tail has almost no notch.
It emits a quiet twitter.
Birds are kept in colonies; for nests, swallows dig holes on coastal cliffs. The female lays from 2 to 6 white eggs . Both parents incubate the chicks for 18-22 days.
