WCG RU Preliminaries 2002

WCG RU Preliminaries - Russian qualifying games for the right to participate in the eSports World Championship. World Cyber ​​Games (abbreviated as WCG ) is the largest world computer games championship held annually in many countries and gathers the best players on the planet. Russian players have been actively participating in these championships since 2001 .

Russian qualifying games are held in two stages. The first stage is the regional qualifiers, in which players from all over the country take part. The second stage is the All-Russian qualifiers in Moscow , in which the winners of the regional finals participate. About 1000 players from all over Russia took part in the WCG RU Preliminaries 2002 regional qualifiers [1] .

Disciplines

Due to the fact that the Russian qualifiers of 2001 were recognized as the best among the national finals of WCG 2001, Russia received a greater number of quotas for WCG 2002 [2] . At WCG RU Preliminaries 2002, competitions were held in 7 disciplines (which is 4 more compared to the qualifiers of 2001) [3] .
