Takashi Azuma ( Jap. 東 孝 Azuma Takashi ) - Japanese martial artist, trainer. Born May 22, 1949 in the city of Kesennuma , Miyagi Prefecture . After graduating from high school in 1969, Azuma entered Waseda University at the Faculty of Philosophy.

Since 1971, he begins to practice Kyokushin . In 1972, Azuma Takashi opened the Kyokushin karate section at Waseda University. At the 6th All-Japan Kyokushin Karate Tournament in 1974, Azuma Takashi took 2nd place. In 1977, he won the IX All-Japan Kyokushinkai Karate Tournament. For 10 years, Azuma Takashi trained, spoke at competitions, traveled in every way improving his experience. In 1981, drawing on his experience, Azuma Takashi founded the Daido-Juku karate ( Kudo )
Azuma Takashi has 9 dan in Kudo, 6 dan in Kyokushin, and 3 dan in Judo . At the Hokutoka tournament in 1991, he broke 10 ice plates with his hand, in 1995 he set a world record for 12 ice plates, and in 2001 at the 1st World Championship he broke his own record, breaking 13 ice floes.
