History
Since ancient times, the Karelian name of the river is known - League, from βligoβ (soaking flax and hemp in river water) [2] . Novgorodians called the river along the mountain with which it flowed, Dudarovka - from the Sami word, akin to S. Samsk. duoddΓ’r - 'wide mountain without forest' (cf. tundra ) [3] . During Swedish rule, the name of the Dudarovsky churchyard was redone in the German manner - German. Duder Hoff , and the river began to be called Duderhofka . The Krasnoselskaya paper mill was built on the river.
Before the construction of the Ligovsky Canal in the 1720s. the river had a right tributary - the Alajoki River (now Black), which connected with it at the village of Novo-Panovo . From 1716 to 1941 on the river there was a large Ligovsky pond (lake) north of Staro-Panov .
The natural channel of the river north of the Ligovsky terrace passed along the swampy bank of the South Lakhta of the Neva Bay. In the XIX century, a straight channel ( Duderhof ) was dug from the Peterhof highway to the Gulf of Finland , ending near the mouth of the Krasnenkaya River, into which, since the 1970s, Duderhof has been flowing, flowing along its last stretch along the Peterhof highway .
