Biography
Sergey Onopko - a pupil of the School for Children "Dawn" (city of Lugansk). His first coach is Anatoly Dmitrievich Shakun. On a professional level, Onopko began playing at the age of 17 for Donetsk Shakhtar , as part of which he repeatedly became vice-champion and winner of the Ukrainian Cup.
After the Pitmen left the camp, he played for FC Nikolaev , Poltava Vorskla , Inter (Baku) , Cherkasy Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih Gornyak , in which he ended his professional career as a football player.
Ukraine Youth Team
In 1992-1994 he played for the youth team of Ukraine , in which he played 8 matches. The team was then coached by Vladimir Muntean , and in addition to Onopko, Sergey Rebrov , Vladislav Vashchuk , Alexander Shovkovsky , Dmitry Mikhailenko and Andrey Shevchenko played for it.
