Paul Moiseyevich Grushko (born August 15, 1931 , Odessa ) was a Russian poet , playwright and translator of prose and poetry (mostly from Spanish and English) and an essayist .

Biography
He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages named after Maurice Thorez (1955).
Member of the Writers' Union of the USSR (1965).
One of the founders and vice-president of the Association of Hispanists of Russia . He was the head of a creative workshop at the Gorky Literary Institute.
International jury member for the genre of poetry in Cuba (1967) and twice in Panama (2002, 2012).
The author of the art concept "Trans / forms" (theory and practice of literary translation as a method of reincarnation in various genres of art).
The author of the poetry collections “Abandoned Garden” (1999), “Embrace the Rabbit” (2003), “Between Me and Event” (2007) and “Freedom of Words” (2011).
His poems in Spanish are published in separate collections in Spain, Peru and Mexico.
Awarded the Gold Medal of Alberico Sala (by the genre of poetry) at a literary contest in Italy (Besan Brianza 1994). Some verses Grushko written in Spanish (in particular, he owns Spanish songs in the Soviet movie " Headless Horseman ").
Grushko's poetic plays were published in his anthology “Theater in Poems”. His poems “The Star and Death of Joaquin Murriets” based on the cantata of P. In 2016, Pavel Grushko was awarded a special diploma in the nomination "Poetry of the Year" of the All-Russian Literary Award "Book of the Year" for the book "The Shadows: The Poets of Spain." Translations from Spanish and Catalan.
In March 2017, Pavel Grushko participated in the New York “ Russian Seasons at the Nicholas Roerich Museum ” program.
