Pivovarov, Alexey Vladimirovich

Aleksei Vladimir Pivovarov (born June 12, 1974 , Moscow , USSR ) is a Russian journalist, media manager, television and radio host, and blogger. Correspondent, host of the Today and Country and World news programs and a number of author programs on NTV channel (1993–2013), producer and manager at the STS Media holding (2013–2016) [1] , general producer of RTVi ( since 2016). Since March 2019, she is the author of the Editorial Board on YouTube .

Biography

Born June 12, 1974 in Moscow [2] .

In 1981-1991 he studied at the Moscow school number 20 (now the central educational institution number 1239).

In 1997 [3] he graduated from the evening department of the journalism faculty of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov .

Professional Activities

In 1988 - 1991, he worked freelance as a correspondent and host of the Pioneer Dawn program in the children's edition of the All-Union Radio [4] .

In 1991 - 1993, he was a presenter and correspondent for the Maximum radio station [5] [6] .

Over the next 20 years, Pivovarov’s professional career was related to NTV . From October 1993 to May 2004 - correspondent in the program of Leonid Parfyonov “ The other day. Non-political news ” [7] (subsequently - an information-analytical program under the same name) [8] on NTV [9] .

From 1996 to 2003, he was a correspondent for the NTV Information Service [10] (the Today , Hero of the Day , and Itogi programs) [11] . During the terrorist attack on Dubrovka, he conducted several emergency issues of the Today program [12] .

In April 2001, during a conflict between Vladimir Gusinsky ’s Media-Most group and Gazprom-Media over the state’s control of the television company, Pivovarov left NTV in protest against the position taken by the majority of journalists in the conflict, with the company's management and its CEO Evgeny Kiselev [13] [14] . On the night that NTV came under the control of Gazprom and after the forced departure of the “old NTV” team, he returned to the channel, thereby agreeing to work together with Boris Yordan and the new administration [15] .

From February 2003 to December 2004, he was the host of the Country and World program on the same TV channel, paired with Aset Vatsueva [16] . Sometimes he worked as a correspondent for the Country and World program [17] . He left the program in December 2004, after he voiced sarcastic comments on the channel’s leadership regarding the appointment of Leonid Parfyonov as editor-in-chief of Russky Newsweek [18] [19] .

From January to September 2005 - the host of the program "Today 22:00" [20] [21] . In April 2005, as the author and presenter of this program, he recorded a conversation with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice [22] .

Since autumn 2005, other evening NTV news releases have been adapted to the format of “Countries and the World” [23] .

From September 2005 to October 2013 [24] he was the host of the evening issues of the Today program [25] . From September 2006 to October 2013, he was the host of the Today program at 19:00 (paired with Lilia Gildeeva ).

From May 2007 to October 2011, he single-handedly conducted the second evening issue of “Today” at 22:45 [26] (later - 23:00, 23:15) [27] . From 2011 to 2013, he was also one of the leaders of the program “Today. Results ” [28] . He led several emergency issues of the Today program during the days of the parliamentary and presidential elections of 2007, 2008 [29] and 2012.

In parallel with conducting information programs, in 2006 [30] - 2011 he was the host of the Aviators program on NTV [31] .

From April 2008 to October 2013 he also served as the head of NTV evening news programs [32] .

In 2010 - 2011, he was the host of the program about the richest people in Russia under the name “Capital.ru” [9] .

In April and December 2012, Pivovarov took part in two “ Conversations with Dmitry Medvedev ” as an NTV journalist [33] .

Since November 5, 2013 Pivovarov worked as a producer and manager at STS Media [1] . In February 2014, he headed the department of transmedia projects in the same company [34] .

From June 7 to August 2, 2015 he was one of the leading TV shows “Park” on “ Channel One ” [35] with Irina Muromtseva and Nikolai Fomenko [36] .

In March 2016, he left the STS Media holding - for his entire period of work as the head of the digital direction of the company, the Pivovarov, “he did everything he could to do” [37] . As an independent producer, he worked on documentaries [38] and television projects for various television channels in Russia, including NTV [37] .

In September 2016, he became the general producer of the RTVi channel [39] [40] .
