Geography
Recareka is a small atoll in the center of which there is a lagoon , completely isolated from ocean waters.
History
The atoll was opened in 1606 by a Spanish navigator from Portugal, Pedro Fernandez Quiros , who named him La Sagitaria .
Administrative Division
Administratively part of the Hao commune.
Population
In 2007, Recareka was uninhabited, the island was completely lacking infrastructure.
