History

The village of Bavleny appeared at the railway station on the Alexandrov - Yuryev-Polsky line, opened in 1893, 1 km from the village of Bavleny, known from the beginning of the 15th century .

In 1930, the construction of the central estate of the Aleksandrovsky grain farm and a machine and tractor workshop began near the station of Bavlena. In 1933-1936, a group of qualified mechanics, drivers, and tractor drivers from the United States worked under contracts in Bawlins - a total of 70 people, most of whom were born in Russia, but who emigrated to the United States before the First World War. In the mid-1930s, about 250 people lived in the village, a school, a club worked, and a park was laid. In 1935, an educational and industrial complex was created to train tractor combine operators, which later became a vocational school.

On October 1, 1940, the machine and tractor workshop was transformed into the Bavlensky engine repair plant. During the Great Patriotic War, the enterprise carried out orders of the People’s Commissariat of Defense, tractor tractors, armored personnel carriers came to Bavlensky Zavod from outside Moscow .

In connection with the subsequent reorientation of the plant to produce a variety of products, the plant was renamed Bavlensky Mechanical (BMZ) in 1944, and in 1959 - the Bavlensky Electromechanical (BEMZ). In 1993, the plant was corporatized and received the name OAO Bavlensky Zavod Elektrodvigatel, and since 2010, OAO HMS Household Pumps . The enterprise was greatly renowned for the production of “Malysh” household vibration pumps manufactured from Soviet times, which were popular among gardeners, summer residents and owners of private estates.

From 1962 to 2004, the Bawlens had the status of an urban-type settlement . In 1976, a music school appeared in the village, in 1985 an art school was opened on its basis. An amateur brass band was formed under her, repeatedly becoming the laureate of various music competitions, including international [2] . In 1992, the orchestra was awarded the title of “exemplary”.
