In Prussian mythology, Barstuki or Parstuki are the small geniuses of the god of the earth Pusaitis. The Prussians arranged barstocks twice a year at a night feast: they brought tables on the threshing floor in the evening, set dishes with flour and meat dishes, and locked the threshing floor. The next day, they looked at what kind of food the barstoves ate and drew conclusions regarding the harvest of bread and the breeding of cattle.
