Anton Kuzmich Glushko (Glushkov) ( January 18 [30], 1884 , Taganrog - May 26, 1919 , Kharkov ) - Russian revolutionary , Soviet state and party leader, first chairman of the Taganrog Committee of the RSDLP and the Bolshevik Council of Workers' Deputies.

Biography
Born in a working class family. He graduated from the three-year parish school, became a student in the typesetting shop of the printing house of A. B. Tarakhovsky. Here in 1903 his revolutionary activities began. Glushko took part in organizing an underground Marxist circle of printers, creating the first trade union of printing workers. In 1907 , an underground printing house of the RSDLP was created in Taganrog, where, with the help of Glushko and his comrades, proclamations and leaflets were printed. In June 1908, Glushko was arrested and was in exile for about 9 years, engaged in revolutionary activities in Siberia. He escaped from exile, was again arrested. In 1917 he was amnestied, returned to Taganrog, where he immediately joined the struggle against the Mensheviks.
On September 30, 1917 , a new Bolshevik party committee was created, and Glushko was elected chairman.
In January 1918 , an armed uprising of Taganrog workers took place, Soviet power was established in the city. Glushko in February headed the Revolutionary Committee, and then the Council of Workers' Deputies. Under the onslaught of the German occupiers, in April, Soviet power was forced to leave Taganrog .
Glushko fought on the North Caucasus Front and in the Astrakhan steppes. He became ill and died of tuberculosis .
