Mandalay Bay ( English Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino ) is a hotel entertainment complex in Las Vegas , USA , which was opened on March 2, 1999 . The complex has hotel rooms and a casino. The complex also held international sports competitions such as professional boxing fights.

The five-star hotel contains 3309 rooms (18th line in the list of the largest hotels in the world ). The area of the casino is 12,541 m².
In the immediate vicinity of the complex are similar institutions: Luxor Las Vegas [1] and Excalibur , between them there is a free high-speed message.
Massacre
On the night of October 2, 2017, 64-year-old American millionaire Stephen Paddock opened fire from a room on the 32nd floor of the hotel where he lived, at a crowd of people who came to the country festival Route 91 Harvest on the Las Vegas Strip. As a result, 59 people died and more than five hundred were injured.
