Migratory bird ; Departure to the south begins in September and lasts until November. Winters in tropical Africa, Arabia and India .

Reproduction

Nests fly in the forks of branches of some shrubs or in tall grass (usually in thickets of nettles ) low above the ground (usually at an altitude of 20-50 cm); less often, the nest settles on heaps of brushwood or directly on the ground. It differs from the nests of other warblers in that the cup of the nest is made deeper, and there are more field cereals in the material of the nest. At the end of May, the female lays on her eggs, and the male feeds her. Incubation lasts 11 days. The clutch usually has 5 white or greenish eggs with dark specks. Both parents feed the chicks for 11-12 days and feed them after departure for a week.
