Aleksander Alekseevich Shananin (born August 28, 1955 , Moscow ) is a Russian mathematician , professor at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Moscow State University , and a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences since October 28, 2016 in the Department of Mathematical Sciences (applied mathematics and computer science) [1] . In December 2002, he was elected Dean of the FUPM MIPT [2] .

Biography
He graduated from the Physics and Mathematics School No. 2 of the city of Moscow (1972), the faculty of management and applied mathematics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (1978), and the graduate school of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (1981). Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1982), thesis: “Study of the class of production functions arising in the mathematical modeling of economic systems” (supervisor A. A. Petrov ). Since 1993, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, the theme of the dissertation: "Study of the conditions of aggregation of economic indicators." Academic title - Professor (1995). Member of the American Mathematical Society .
From 1981 to 1998 - an employee of the Computing Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences ; to date - part-time.
Since December 2002 - Dean of the Faculty of Management and Applied Mathematics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology ( MIPT ).
He has been working at Moscow University since 1995, giving lectures at the 4th year in the discipline "Mathematical Models in Economics": in 1998-2002 - as a full-time professor in the system analysis department of the VMK Moscow State University , and for the rest of the time as a part-time professor.
Scientific activity
Research interests: mathematical modeling of economic systems . The main results were obtained in the theory of aggregation of economic descriptions and modeling the evolution of Russian economic structures.
