The city of Papa is located north of the hilly ridge Bacon . It is located 40 kilometers northwest of the capital of the county - Veszprem and 40 kilometers south of Gyor . Papa is a railway junction, roads lead to Szombathely , Tatabánya , Gyёрr and орornu . Roads connect the city with surrounding cities.
The population of the city is largely composed of descendants of German immigrants who arrived here in the XVIII century after the liberation of Hungary from the Turks.
