Lane participated in games only in 100m races . At first, on April 6 , he won the qualifying round with a score of 12.2 s, and reached the final with Hungarian Alojem Sokol . In the final race, which took place on April 10 , he showed the same result with the same Falcon, and took third place with him.
From 1924 to 1926, he owned the US record in the 100 meter race.
