Broadband Internet
Since April 2006, the Hong Kong Broadband Network has been offering its customers Internet access at speeds from 10 Mbps to 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps) using FTTB or FTTH . However, the speed in other cities is limited to 20 Mbps. As of November 2009 , the company offers 100 Mbit / s service for 99 Hong Kong dollars (about 13 US dollars ) per month.

Hong Kong Internet Censorship
- In March 1995, in Hong Kong, police raided dial-up companies and confiscated their servers and records. During the week, from 5,000 to 8,000 users could not access the Internet. The customers of the raid were considered Supernet (it wasn’t closed), the Office of Telecommunications Authority , and the Commercial Crime Bureau . After the raid, companies were closed: Hong Kong Internet & Gateway Services (HKIGS) hk.net, Hong Kong Link InfoLink Ilink, Internet Online Hong Kong, Cybernet, Internet Connections and Asia Online.
- On January 27, 2008, in Hong Kong, police arrested suspects who were charged with downloading pornographic images. The charges were dropped in mid-February.
