Eudora OSE supports protocols: SMTP , POP3 , IMAP , NNTP , RSS . Penelope works in Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. According to the developers, this made it possible to increase the reliability and stability of the program. Among the main features of Eudora, one can mention the possibility of automatic registration of messages by keywords, user-friendly interface and built-in spam filtering tools. The shortcuts, toolbar icons, menu structure, and Eudora "manners" are repeated in the Mozilla version. In the new Eudora development team, there are several people from Qualcomm who also developed an email client.
In 2010, development was discontinued, in 2013, Eudora OSE was declared obsolete and users were recommended to switch to Mozilla Thunderbird.
