The club was founded in 1997 by businessman Askar Salymbekov . The first team included players from the Semetey youth club from Bishkek.

The first match was played on March 3 against “Alga” -PVO, which later became the silver medalist of the championship. Performance in professional competitions "Dordoi" began with the First League . In the debut season of 1997, he was able to take only 8th place.

In 1998, “Dordoy” united with the team of the Institute of Physical Culture and became known as “Dordoy-Zhashtyk” -SKIF. In the First League-1998 were 12 teams. At the end of the season, the Narynchans took the third place, behind only the Dynamo-Asia-Karavan and Dynamo KRL clubs.

However, they refused to fight for a place in the Higher League, and therefore the play-offs played Dordoi. According to their results, the Narynchans moved to the Premier League. In the same season, the club was supposed to debut in the Kyrgyz Cup with a 1/16 final match against Dynamo-Asia-Caravan in Bishkek, but Dordoy refused to participate in the tournament [2] .

The 1999 season was the debut for the team in the Premier League. She took the 5th place, 14 points behind the bronze winners of Zhashtyk-Ak-Altyny and Polet [3] .

In the same season, Dordoy finally debuted in the Independence Cup of Kyrgyzstan . In the 1/32 finals the team met with FC Enese and beat him with a score of 5: 2. “Dynamo-Airport” withdrew from the competition, and Dordoy was in the 1/8 finals due to a technical victory [3] .

In 2000, following the results of the championship, Dordoi took the 6th place, and the capital SKA-Air Defense became the champion. The composition of the team was supplemented with the most productive football player of Kyrgyzstan 1992-2006, Zamirbek Zhumagulov . Later he became one of the coaches of the team [4] . Dordoy dropped out of the Kyrgyz Cup at the very first stage - in the 1/8 final, losing to Dynamo from Bishkek with a score of 0: 3.

In 2001, defender Ruslan Sydykov joined the Dordoi squad, who has been the team’s permanent captain over the past years. For the first time this season the club won bronze medals. He repeated his success in two subsequent championships - 2002 and 2003 .

Before the start of the 2005 season, Boris Podkorytov left the team, and his place was taken by Mikhail Tyagusov, who held this post earlier. The outcome of the season was decided by the “golden match” with “ Shoro-SKA ”. The winner was not revealed either in the main or in extra time, and the fate of the match was decided by a penalty shootout. According to their results with a score of 4: 2, Dordoi won and won the championship for the second time in a row.

In the 2005 Kyrgyzstan Cup Final, Dordoy again beat Zhashtyk-Ak-Altyn 1-0 and also won this trophy for the second time in a row [6] . The author of the goal was Sergey Chikishev [6] .
