The Republican Party of Vanuatu ( Eng. Vanuatu Republican Party , Fr. Parti Républican de Vanuatu ) is a political party of Vanuatu that receives support mainly from the French-speaking part of the population. Formed in the late 1990s after the removal of powers from the chairman of the ruling Union of moderate parties, Maxim Corman. In the parliamentary elections on July 6, 2004, she received 4 seats out of 52. In 2004–2008, her members were members of the coalition government of Ha Lini , in which Corman served as Minister of Land Resources. Since 2008, the party belongs to the opposition, representing the main competition in the struggle for power.
