Kekovat - the title of the ruler of the left wing in the Nogai Horde , responsible for the protection of the eastern borders, the third highest rank after biy and nuradin . The kekovata post was introduced by the Nogai Mirza in 1537 to control the nomads in Western and Central Kazakhstan .
The name of the title comes from the name of the son of Idigey - Kay-Kobad.
