Borough area - 33,092 km², of which 33,025 km² is land and 67 km² (0.2%) occupy open water spaces [3] .
On the territory of the borough is located the highest mountain in North America - Denali .
Population
According to the 2000 census [4] , the boro population is 1,893 people. The population density is 0.06 man / km². The racial makeup of the zone includes 85.74% white ; 1.43% black or black ; 4.75% Native Americans ; 1.53% Asian ; 0.37% of Pacific Islanders ; 0.95% of representatives of other races and 5.23% of representatives of two or more races. 2.48% of all races are Hispanic .
Of the 785 households, 31.0% have children under the age of 18, 48.4% are married couples living together, 4.5% are women living without their husbands, and 42.3% have no family. 35.0% of all households are composed of separate residents; 1.4% of households are single people aged 65 or over. The average household size was 2.28, and the average family size was 3.03.
23.8% of the population under the age of 18 lives in Boro; 6.7% from 18 to 24 years; 36.8% from 25 to 44 years; 29.7% from 45 to 64 years old and 3.1% aged 65 years and older.
