Description
It is an experimental heavy tank T29 , [2] re-equipped with a 155-mm T7 howitzer gun - the largest-caliber model of American barrel tank weapons during World War II . In total, in 1945-1947 , two prototypes of the T30 were built. Both of them were tested in 1948 at the Aberdeen tank test site , but were not accepted for service. On February 1, 1945, the project was rejected by the US Army Command (AGF). [3] The project was finally closed on September 1, 1950, together with the design of the T29 tank [4]
In computer games
T30 became widely known thanks to the game World of Tanks . In the game itself, the T30 was presented as a heavy tank of the 10th level of the US technology, but in the future it was transferred to the branch of the tower of the US tank destroyers at 9th level. With update 1.85, War Thunder was introduced into the game as the main prize for tankers for the New Year's Eve 2019.
