About the album
The debut album differs noticeably from the subsequent works by Zero, primarily due to its stylistic proximity to the western post-punk , while the accordionist Fyodor Chistyakov , the main solo instrument of the rock band, has not yet been brought so strongly to the fore here. Having finally found his own style, “Zero” will soon leave the repertoire of the album, and only the song “Disabled group zero” will be constantly played by the group at concerts.
The album was recorded in the autumn of 1985 in the Leningrad House of Young Technicians , in the studio of Andrei Tropillo , who himself personally at first did not take part in the recordings. The group members at that time were still in school. In the spring of 1986, one of the founders and co-authors of the first songs, bass player Tolik Platonov left the group, in his place came Dmitry Gusakov, who continued to record the album.
The album is included in the book of Alexander Kushnir " 100 magneto-albums of Soviet rock ."
