Bell OH-58 Kiowa

Bell OH-58 Kiowa ( born Bell OH-58 Kiowa ) is an American lightweight multi-purpose helicopter developed by Bell Helicopter Textron based on the Bell 206 model.

History

From 1969 until 2016, it was widely used by the U.S. Army for reconnaissance and direct fire support of ground troops, and was used in most armed conflicts involving the United States in the second half of the 20th and early 21st centuries. During the Vietnam War, the United States lost about 45 OH-58A helicopters. [3] As a result of the invasion of Afghanistan and the Iraq war , at least 35 helicopters of this type were lost in battle. A significant amount was exported. In 1970, OH-58A were purchased and adopted in Canada [5] .

In 2016, Croatia purchased from the United States 16 OH-58D helicopters from the number decommissioned by the army [19] .

OH-58 appears in the movie Firebirds. You can fly on Kiow in the simulators Operation Flashpoint, Gunship 2000, Jane's Longbow 2, Enemy Engaged mod EECH 1.16

In Season 9 of the Walking Dead series, unknown people evacuate Jadis / Anne along with wounded Rick Grimes on OH-58.
