Caricaceous ( lat. Caricaceae ) - a small family of tropical trees of the order Brassicales ( Brassicales ).

At the end of the 19th century, the family was considered close to Begonia and Violet [2] , however, in the classification system APG III (2009), all three of these families are assigned to different orders.
Content
Small trees , often unbranched, very rich in milky sap; the leaves of the majority on long stalks, tabular; flowers are 5-membered, male with a long-tubular nimbus and stamens adhered to its tube, female with a short nimbus and 1-5-nest ovary with 5 divided stigmas. The fruits are berry-like, sometimes with abundant flesh, then with a cavity inside.
