About the album
It is difficult to call this magneto-album debut, just as it is difficult to call debut the 1989 collective farm punk due to the fact that they were never officially published, were recorded at the same time and were not widely used.
| The Gaza Strip appeared in 1987 when the Voronezh Rock Club opened. Two years later, we recorded two albums - “Collective Farm Punk” and “Plows-Woogie”. Their quality was terrible and beyond Voronezh they did not disperse.Yuri (Khoy) Klinsky |
This music album is often mistakenly called the same name with the name of the group - “Gaza Strip”. The Gas Sector album was recorded only in 1993 and contained part of the songs from Plows-Woogie and the original version of Kolkhoz Punk . In addition, many believe that the 1993 Gas Sector album is a 1989 recording. Another common mistake is that the 1997 Gas Sector album was also released in 1989, despite the fact that both there and there are clearly better recordings that were impossible in 1989 in the USSR .
| That was in early 1989. Then there was still no studio, just, Andrey Deltsov at his own peril and risk decided to joke. As I remember now, for the recording of the first two albums we paid 100 rubles. Well, the album has appeared. Although we didn’t have a good tape recorder, they wrote such crap, a nightmare in general. As they said then, in one channel the “top” sounded, in the other - the “bottom”. - 1992 - “ Take a walk, man! »- Vidak

- 1997 - The Narcological University of the Millions - Walpurgis Night
In addition, magnetic albums did not have official covers, and those that currently exist are fan-made.
