Herzog and de Mouron

Herzog & de Meuron Architekten (abbr. HdeM ) is a Swiss architectural bureau , opened in 1978 by two Basel natives, Jacques Herzog (born April 19, 1950) and Pierre de Meuron (born May 8, 1950).

Since 1994, taught at Harvard . The signature features of their projects are extreme minimalism and the widespread use of experimental materials. They had a great success with their Tate Modern project in London (2000), which brought them the Pritzker Prize . Participated in the competition for the development of the concept of Gazprom-City in St. Petersburg . Their last major project is the Beijing National Stadium .

Since 2011, Pierre de Meron has been a member of the town planning council of the Skolkovo Foundation [1] .
