Construction and problems

The construction of the electric depot was begun in the late 1990s and was soon abandoned [1] . In the summer of 2006 , laying of branch tracks was resumed. In November - December 2009 , the tracks were brought to the Mitino station.

In October 2013, the Moscow Construction Department officially announced that the builders plan to complete the construction of the first stage of the Mitino electric depot by the end of the year, and “the construction of Europe’s largest electric depot will be completed by mid-2014” [2] .

In March 2014, due to problems with providing power to the distillation tunnels and part (starting line) of the depot itself, in particular due to the presence of defects in the substation equipment set, the launch dates were moved to the first half of May. On May 12, the substation was launched in trial mode, but could not work independently, after which it was turned off.

On May 23, 2014, under the personal guidance of the head of the metro, Ivan Besedin, a second test run of the problematic substation was expected, but as a result of negotiations the substation was not accepted. After a change of command in July of that year, the new leadership required a planned completion and opening of a depot. The frames were thrown to other objects.

On October 17, the substation was taken into operation. There were problems with the lack of transformer parts, including due to the inability to replace parts not delivered from Germany with domestic counterparts. Depot work since the end of October is intermittent.

In November 2014, it was possible to test the possibility of rails by transferring several wagons of the line on its own to the finished parts of the nave depot. [3] By the end of 2014, the object was transferred to the subway mode, the first employees began working on it.

In the first half of 2015, the depot functioned for sludge trains, many ditches have not yet worked. In May - June, a test launch of the repair shop was carried out, and on June 16, 2015, the depot began servicing the first section.
