Edward Battell is a British cyclist and diplomat . He participated in the 1896 Summer Olympics , where he won a bronze medal in a road race. In addition, he served at the British Embassy in Greece .

Battel participated in the 333.3 m, 100 km and road races, where he took third place. In the third one kilometer, it became the fourth, 0.2 seconds behind. At the 100-kilometer race, he could not reach the finish line.
