Geography
It is located in the southern part of the district, on the right bank of the Oka , not far from the highway going from the village of Lukyanovo to the village of Lanshino . 7 kilometers from Lukyanov.
History
The book “Parishes and Churches of the Tula Diocese” (Tula, 1895) states that “the village Podmoklovo got its name from the spill of the Oka River, which floods the buildings of the named village during spring floods”.
According to archaeological excavations, the Podmoklovskoye settlement (the beginning of the 1st millennium AD), located on the right bank of the Oka River east of the village of Pomoklovo, whose population was pre-Slavic Iron Age tribes, is known. The ancient settlement belongs to archeological monuments of federal significance [2] . In the VIII-IX centuries, the Slavic population, Vyatichi , penetrated the banks of the Oka.
After several expeditions, the Serpukhov archaeologist Artem Pavlihin established [3] that near the village of Podmoklovo there was the ancient city of Nerensk, mentioned also in the Ipatiev Chronicle .
In the time of Ivan the Terrible, iron ore was mined “near the mountain” near Podmoklovo, later in ornamental quarries - an ornamental white stone, the so-called “Tarus marble”. It was first mentioned as a village in 1648 , when it was owned by the princes Golitsyn .
Podmoklovo was partly a part of the Tarusa and Aleksinsky counties . In the 19th century, a cloth factory was located near the village, and in 1870 a zemstvo school operated. In 1913, Podmoklovo consisted of 173 yards. The population reached 1368 people. Since 1929, as part of the Serpukhov district of the Moscow region.
In the Soviet period, the population of Podmoklov worked at the Zaoksky state farm , the village was part of the Lukyanovsky village council , and in the 1990s - 2000s, it was part of the Lukyanovsky rural district . During the 2006 Municipal Reform , the village was included in the Lipitsky rural settlement .

Dolgorukov Manor
From 1656 to 1723 the village was owned by Prince Grigory Fedorovich Dolgorukov . Then the estate passes to his son, Prince Sergey . After the death of Peter II , during the time of Empress Anna Ioannovna , the Dolgorukov family fell into disgrace, the estate was arrested. Prince S. G. Dolgorukov was exiled and then executed, since a case was opened about his participation in the preparation of a false will of Emperor Peter II.
Empress Elizabeth returned Podmoklovo to his son Nikolai Sergeyevich [4] , who began to equip the estate with stone buildings. The two-story stone manor house has not been preserved. In the XIX century, as such, a two-story northern wing of Catherine’s time was used , built in a style that is transitional from Baroque to Classicism . As of the beginning of the XXI century, it is a ruin.
In addition to the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin , a large terraced landscape park with linden and poplar alleys and cascading ponds separated by a dam survived (partially) from the estate ( 5) . Service buildings of the XVIII — XIX centuries. completely rebuilt and not of great interest.
In 1781-1833 the village was owned by the children of Faddey Tyutchev , Peter and Anna, then (from the 1840s) the son of the latter, Alexander Mikhailovich Vasilchikov. In 1894, the estate and surrounding land were sold to the Serpukhov manufacturer P.I. Ryabov. When the October Socialist Revolution took place, his son S. P. Ryabov owned the sub-Moklov factory.
In Soviet times, an orphanage was located on the territory of the manor. In 1975, the territory was transferred to the management of the Zaoksky state farm, whose leadership virtually abandoned all buildings, ponds, a park, and gardens to their fate. In a matter of years, the two-story outbuilding was looted, one of the ponds was destroyed, the gardens went wild and died.
Church of the Nativity of the Virgin
A famous attraction is the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin (1714-1722), made in the style of Italian Baroque . It is one of the most interesting buildings of the Petrine era, embodying the features of West European Baroque. The church was started at the expense of Grigory Fedorovich Dolgorukov (1656-1723), completed by his son and grandson, consecrated in 1754. It is executed in the form of a two-light brick rotunda over which a spherical dome with lucarnas and a massive light drum are built on.
Festival
In order to attract attention to the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin , traditionally in the summer, starting in 2014, open air music festivals are held near its walls, the main organizers of which are members of the family of the abbot of the church, all with a conservative education. In 2019, the festival was held under the name “Unknown Russian Music” and for the first time combined in one program early Russian music “before Glinka ” and genuine folklore, and also received state support in the form of a grant from the President of the Russian Federation. In the framework of the festival, in addition to music, there is a rich educational program [6] [7] .
