Suspension frame chassis
Chassis ( fr. Châssis ) of a land vehicle - an assembled set of transmission units, chassis units and control mechanisms.
- The chassis of the vehicle using the frame is a complete structure that can be moved on its own wheels or tracks. Frame chassis are mainly used in tractors and trucks. The device of the frame chassis depends on the mover used. For wheeled vehicles, the chassis design is determined by the total number of axles and the number of drive axles. The chassis of the car, designed for driving in off-road conditions, is equipped with means to increase patency.
- The chassis of the vehicle with the supporting body - the base of the vehicle, connecting the transmission units, chassis units and control mechanisms.
- Self-propelled chassis - a motorized vehicle designed to accommodate various equipment (machines, mechanisms, weapons) on it. It is usually produced in series.
